After completing her law studies, Cairns local, Karissa, headed to Brisbane to begin practicing and has gained exceptional experience and a wealth of knowledge in doing so.   

Karissa holds a Masters in Applied Laws – Property Law and has worked predominantly in well-respected Brisbane firms. 

She has recently returned home to Cairns, joining the Marino Lawyers team in 2021 and is based at our Cairns office.  However, she is happy to attend to any home appointments or other branch offices. 

Karissa has represented an array of small and large, local and national clients in various matters including retail and commercial leasing, contract and option drafting, confidentiality and exclusivity agreements, sales and acquisition strategies and negotiations, and aspects of financial lending. She also has extensive experience in all aspects of leasing across Australia and has acted for both sides for tenants of small to national business as well as major landlords of shopping centres, large retail format sites to small single tenancies.
