In many ways it has caught up with me but to reflect on 30 years of outcomes that the firm has achieved has been quite astonishing. Of course these outcomes would not have been able to have been achieved without trusting and loyal clients, big and small.
Family matters are never easy to discuss with an outsider. To gain the confidence of family matriarchs and to hear stories of their pioneering days is a privilege and to now continue to advise the next generation is very rewarding.
Having offices in Gordonvale and Babinda has got me involved in what has made this City great. The sugar industry has been the mainstay of the area. Farming now is more regulated and high tech. The investment in farming and milling has been an area that the firm has been involved in to date.
With the expansion of Cairns over the last 30 years, the development industry has been pushed to its limits. The developers I have dealt with have had a passion for making the city great. To see the full circle from cane farms to developing estates, to purchasing the family home to attending the bank settlement of the purchase been very gratifying.
From cane farmers and millers to developers, to tourist businesses to Mum and Dad’s every day over the last 30 years has been full. One can never win every case but to put your best effort into achieving the best outcome for a client, is a testament that the firm has survived and grown over 30 years.
Thank you to all of the clients who have trusted the firm with their legal work. The 30 years of outcomes has been very satisfying for me.
